I know, I know – “dacha” is the Russian word for a country cottage. Not much to do with schools – but I like the sound of “dacha.com,” and since when does a blog’s name need to match its content, right?

I taught middle and high school English for 16 years and for the last 20 have helped schools and districts and states with their improvement initiatives.

This blog’s audience is primarily parents – to assist and inform them as they interact with their kids’ schools and school districts – but I hope that all people interested in K-12 education get something from it.
