I know, I know – “dacha” is the Russian word for a country cottage. Not much to do with schools – but I like the sound of “dacha.com,” and since when does a blog’s name need to match its content, right?

I taught middle and high school English for 16 years and for the last 15 have helped schools and districts with their improvement initiatives.

This blog’s audience is primarily parents – to assist and inform them as they interact with their kids’ schools and school districts – but I hope that all people interested in K-12 education get something from it.
