About

I know, I know – “dacha” is the Russian word for a country cottage. Not much to do with schools – but I like the sound of “dacha.com,” and since when does a blog’s name need to match its content, right?

(BTW, to the people looking to buy this URL: Your offer needs to be significant. Like pay-off-my-mortgage significant.)

I taught middle and high school English and for the last 26 years have helped schools and districts and states with their improvement initiatives.

Initially this blog’s audience was parents – to assist and inform them as they interact with their kids’ schools and school districts – but it has evolved and now I hope that all people interested in K-12 get something from it.
